Viscosity Kinematic Bath-HK-265D
The Viscosity Kinematic Bath – HK-265D conforms to the ASTM D445 Standard Test Method for Kinematic Viscosity of Transparent and Opaque Liquids (and Calculation of Dynamic Viscosity). This apparatus is specifically designed to test the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products, including both transparent and opaque liquids.
Specifically, the apparatus measures the time it takes for a volume of liquid to flow under gravity through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer. As a result, the dynamic viscosity (η) can be calculated by multiplying the kinematic viscosity (ν) by the liquid’s density (ρ).
Under constant temperature conditions, the apparatus covers a range of kinematic viscosities from 0.2 to 300,000 mm²/s at all temperatures. Therefore, it not only provides accurate kinematic viscosity measurements but also facilitates the determination of dynamic viscosity, offering a comprehensive analysis of the liquid’s flow characteristics.
